WELCOME TO FINLAND
Besides the most popular cities in Scandinavia – Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo – there’s one city you should definitely visit in your life: Helsinki. Okay, when we decided to go for a weekend trip to Finland’s capital we didn’t recognize that it is that dark. And to be honest, you should have a local guide to see the best spots up there, ‚cause the first view is very similar to Germany – cold & grey. But in case you’re planning a trip to Scandinavia, Helsinki is a thing!
We just checked in at Helsinki’s first design hotel (obviously part of the Design Hotels™) and we enjoyed every single minute as we got a warm welcome by it’s Hotel & Marketing Manager Tero Thynell who gave us a map with things to see in Helsinki.
The Klaus K Hotel is located in the center of Helsinki where you can find clothing stores, bars and restaurants just around the corner. The hotel’s design is inspired by Finland’s national epic, Kalevala, so it tells you the whole story of the country.
With 171 rooms and specials as the Sky Balcony, Sky Loft, Sky Studio, Envy King, the Passion Double, the Desire King and the Desire Twin you will definitely find the perfect room for you, no matter if you travel by yourself or with a homie or lover. Explore the special rooms here. The very unique designer rooms are created in collaboration with some of the most famous Finnish contemporary artists. And if you’ve booked the Sky Loft you should check out the rooftop on the 7th floor to catch an unique view of the city. Get your own breeze of Finnisch mythology.
